CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme Online Registration

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has officially launched the CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme, also called Roshan Gharana Program allowing consumers in Punjab to apply for free solar panels either through SMS or an online portal starting today. The Provincial Secretary of Energy shared details about the scheme, stating that 100,000 solar systems will be installed throughout the year. A total of 52,019 customers who use up to 100 units of electricity per month will receive a free 550-watt solar system.

For consumers who use up to 200 units of electricity per month, a will be provided at no cost. The selection process will be done through a computerized balloting system to ensure fairness and transparency in the CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

Roshan Gharana Program Distribution

The system will be monitored at various locations and online via the Solar PV App. The scheme will be launched on December 05, following a successful test run review, and eligibility can be checked by sending bill reference and CNIC numbers to 8800. Successful applicants will be notified via SMS, and district administration and DISCOs will verify their credentials.

Check CM Solar Panel Scheme Status

Solars will be granted on installment plans, with families cross-verified before installation. Users must send electricity bills and ID cards to 8800. Winners will pay 25% of the initial payment to the government without interest. Installations occur in September-October.

A draw will be held for those who complete the registration process, followed by government personnel installing the solar system in the homes of the fortunate consumers. Registration is premature until a registration system is established.

Documents Required for Registration

The following documentation is required if you wish to sign up for the Roshan Gharana program and get a solar system for your house:

• Evidence of citizenship in Pakistan (CNIC).
