The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has issued an important update regarding the ongoing registration process. Previously ineligible government personnel can now apply to the 8171 BISP Program via the NSER survey. This adjustment is only applicable to employees in grades 1–4.
Grades 1-4 Govt Employees Can Also Apply for BISP Program
The Pakistani government has now permitted BISP to include government personnel in grades 1–4 in its assistance programs. Revised Eligibility Criteria
Until recently, BISP eligibility criteria prevented families with a government employee from receiving monthly payments. However, beginning September 9, this restriction was eliminated for families of government employees in grades 1–4, letting them participate in the program.
BISP Scheme Opens New Registration
All Tehsil offices around the country are presently accepting registrations for the Benazir Income Support Programme. Eligible folks may apply for monthly installments. Although government officials have accepted this additional inclusion, BISP has not yet issued an official declaration.

Latest Update: Advice for New BISP Applicants
If you intend to enroll in the BISP 8171 Program, make sure you have all of the necessary paperwork, including your CNIC ID card and Form B for Benazir Taleemi Wazaif for Children. The on-site personnel will assist you with registration and check your information online. To verify the status of your CNIC, send an SMS to “8171” or use the 8171 web portal.

Once you’ve completed the NSER survey, you may quickly check your eligibility status online:
- Access the BISP 8171 online site at https://8171.bisp.gov.pk/.
- Enter the 13-digit CNIC number and the code shown in the image.
- To view your status, select ‘Check Eligibility’.
