LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has introduced groundbreaking healthcare projects that have significantly improved the province’s healthcare system.
Highlighting her government’s achievements, Maryam stated, “Initiatives such as the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital in Lahore, the Cardiology Institute in Sargodha, Clinics on Wheels, field hospitals, Children’s Heart Surgery Card, and Free Medicine Home Delivery have brought about a revolutionary change in healthcare across Punjab.”
She announced plans to adopt the advanced Chinese cancer treatment method, “No Chemotherapy, No Surgery,” providing a non-invasive alternative for cancer patients in the province.
Punjab has also become the first province in Pakistan to officially launch an air ambulance service. According to Maryam, over 6.8 million patients have already benefited from services such as Clinics on Wheels and Field Hospitals.
Additionally, the CM revealed that a mega project to revamp rural and primary health centers is nearing completion. A traditional Basic Health Unit (BHU) has been transformed into the state-of-the-art “Maryam Health Clinic,” setting a new benchmark for healthcare in rural areas.
These initiatives underscore the Punjab government’s commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and quality for its residents.
